The 11th edition of Schwartz's Principles of Surgery is now available on AccessSurgery. The book is celebrating its 50th anniversary since McGraw-Hill published the 1st edition in 1969, and is still regarded as the cornerstone textbook in general surgery throughout the world. The book's first editor and namesake, Seymour Schwartz, still remains active as Distinguished Alumni Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester, where he regularly attends grand rounds.
