Your supervising PT has written that the wound dressing should be occlusive or semi-occlusive to cover a 50% black eschar wound. What is the advantage of using this dressing with this type of wound?

  1. Traps in bacteria or pathogens so they can be contained to the wound
  2. Allows drainage of the wound to keep the wound from becoming macerated
  3. Contains moisture and allows the body’s enzymes to soften the eschar
  4. It provides mechanical debridement due to its adhesive nature

The solution will be posted in a few days
