You are teaching a pregnant patient a series of core stability exercises. The patient reports she has recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). What do you now need to consider during treatment?

  1. There is a decrease in blood glucose levels with exercise
  2. An extended cooldown period may be needed to normalize body temperature
  3. The patient may require a carbohydrate snack at each session
  4. There is an increase in blood glucose levels with exercise

The solution will be posted in a few days
