Rosai-Dorfman disease (sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy) The signs of this disorder are significant cervical lymphadenopathy, sometimes associated with malaise, weight loss, and low-grade fever. Skin lesions are yellow to brown papules, nodules or plaques, but these occur in a minority of patients. Although various viral etiologies have been proposed, the cause of this disorder is unknown. In most cases, it resolves without treatment over a period of several months.
