Case

A 28-year-old patient with cystic fibrosis presents with lethargy from home. The patient has IDDM and pancreatic insufficiency. He hasn't been feeling well the last 2 to 3 days. Vital signs are blood pressure 95/65 mm Hg, heart rate 105 bpm, and respiratory rate of 22 breaths per minute.
