Pneumocystis Pneumonia. Pneumocystis sporozoites as seen in bronchoalveolar lavage specimen stained with Giemsa method. Eight crescent-shaped sporozoites (arrow) are clustered within the confines of a cyst wall. Giemsa does not stain the cyst wall. Compare organism with background red blood cells for estimation of size.
