PAPULAR PURPURIC “GLOVES AND SOCKS” SYNDROME IN PARVOVIRUS B19 INFECTION. This syndrome is characterized by petechiae on the hands and feet that appear in a distinct gloves-and-socks distribution (with a clear line of distinction between rash and non-rash areas at wrists and ankles). It is usually seen in older children and adolescents with parvovirus B19 infection. (Photo contributor: Binita R. Shah, MD.)
