RATIONALE: It is in the scope of practice for the PTA to assess the patient by asking their questions about what activities have occurred before the planned treatment session. This will give the PTA an indication of whether the patient participated in an activity, took medication, encountered an emotional situation, or possibly some source leading to chest discomfort. This information will be shared with the physical therapist and other healthcare professionals who should assess the patient afterward.
