You are about to assess a patient involved in a motor vehicle accident four days ago. According to the chart, the patient has normal sensation and strength in both lower extremities but paralysis and loss of sensation in both upper extremities. Bowel and bladder functions are normal. These are the classic signs of what type of spinal cord injury (SCI)?

  1. Anterior cord syndrome
  2. Lateral cord syndrome
  3. Anterior cerebral syndrome

The solution will be posted in a few days
